My Life Scripture

Philippians 4:4-7 (ESV English Standard Version) Holy Bible
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. Let the reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds through Christ Jesus.

Remembering 9/11

A year after the events of September 11, 2001, I decided to add a scrapbook page about the event.  The best way to remember something in our lives is to journal.  I created a simple scrapbook page that highlighted the facts about this pivotal day in the history of America and the world.  Included on this page is a place for people to journal what they were doing when they heard the news.  I encourage family members and friends to participate in the journaling.

There is a pocket in the top left corner that contains a form to fill out with the person's name and the date the remembrance was written.  This will become a great treasure for the generations that did not experience this tragedy first-hand.

What a wonderful idea! Those of us who witnessed the events as they unfolded will never forget the horror we felt, but for everyone else, reading first-hand accounts will help them understand the significance of that day. Thanks for sharing!
