My Life Scripture

Philippians 4:4-7 (ESV English Standard Version) Holy Bible
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. Let the reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds through Christ Jesus.

"Warming Up with Hot Cocoa" Fantabulous Cricut Challenge

This "Thank You" card features a cup of hot cocoa and includes a packet of hot cocoa mix.
The card is designed using the Gypsy and a 12 inch x 12 inch mat.  The card base is from the Cricut Cartridge "Just Because Cards", the cup is from Cricut Cartridge "Wall Decor and More", and the sentiment "Thanks" is from the Cricut Cartridge "Cricut Classic Font".
The left bottom of the mat IS NOT empty.  There is a piece of clear plastic that has been cut to use as a card front!
Six cups were cut.   Three of the images are 'mirror' images.
There is a set of red cups and then a white cup to show the hot cocoa.
The cups were layered together and adhered with glue.
A small piece of decorative paper was slipped in for a contrast on the cup.
The cups were adhered to the clear plastic front using the Xyron 500.
Lots to see here!
The cups have been attached to the plastic with one set on front and the 'mirror' image on the back.  Tacky Tape was used to outline the front and white ribbon was applied.
The card inside is the negative image front the card, shadowed with red cardstock.
A white piece of cardstock will be glued to the inside of the card so a message can be added.
Two rectangle pieces of cardstock will be added to the inside to cover the message.
Inside of card with message area covered.
Outside of card.  Notice the written message is hidden!
Stickles was used to outline the opening and to hold the plastic in place.
Lesson learned...make the plastic insert larger than the opening!
This would have made attaching the plastic window A LOT easier!
The beautiful crinkle ribbon is a gift from Shelia at "She's a Sassy Lady"!

Great project.... you know me I love to have those little gifts in my cards so I love it! Did you make multiples of this? Is that why 6 cups were cut? There is a multiple challenge this week at She's A Sassy Lady, so if you made more than one card please link it up. TFS

What a fantastic design! I am trying to figure out what to make to feature some cocoa K-Cups for a gift. I am thinking a gift box with circles cut in a grid on the inside, but this is such great inspiration for the outside! You never know... a post on my blog soon may look very familiar. Hee! Hee!

Love the use of Kraft paper. It gives the card a warm feeling to add to the cocoa. And yes, I will remember to cut the clear bigger! ;)

Great card. Love the window and the way you mirrored the cup to cover both sides of the plastic window. I'll definitely be scraplifting this idea.
