I used lots of images from the Cricut Cartridge "Paper Doll Dress Up" and a couple of images from Cricut Cartridge "Plantin Schoolbook" to create a St. Patrick's Day Card.
The flower border was cut from "Schoolbook" in white paper and colored with Copic Markers.
The grass border was cut from "Schoolbook" using a grass patterned paper.
All other images are from "Paper Doll Dress Up"
I wanted a 'rainbow' feeling about the paper. So I started with a blue paper that suggested the sky. To get the 'rainbow' effect, I used soft pastel chalk.
I rubbed the colors of the chalk representing the rainbow in wide strips across the paper.
This is how the paper looked after I rubbed the chalk over the surface. There is a lot of chalk dust on the paper.
A paper towel was used to remove the chalk dust and to blend the colors. Another layer of chalk could be added to intensify the colors. Remember to remove the chalk dust!
See the 'rainbow' effect!!
I will show the card step-by-step as it is created!
Notice the two layers of grass/flower border! The flowers are cut from white paper and colored with Copic Markers. The grass border was cut from some 'grass' patterned paper.
The leprechaun is cut from Cricut Cartridge "Paper Doll Dress Up" The glitter paper is from the new DCWV "Glitzy" glitter paper. This glitter paper cuts beautifully in the Cricut! It is a thinner glitter paper and has a very crisp finish! The face is a "Peachy Keen" stamp.
Add a pot of gold from "Paper Doll Dress Up"!
Add shamrocks cut from DCWV "Glitzy" glitter paper using the "Paper Doll" cartridge and a sentiment!
Stamp a message on the inside!
You have St. Patrick's Day Cards!
