My Life Scripture

Philippians 4:4-7 (ESV English Standard Version) Holy Bible
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. Let the reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds through Christ Jesus.

Exploding Box Extraordinary from South Africa!

Today's post is so special!!
The Exploding Box Extraordinary was created by my South African friend, Erna!  She saw my 'Explosion of Hope' post and decided to make an Exploding Box as a September birthday gift for her boss.  Erna began her project in May and worked on it for the next 4 months!  She gathered photos and mementos from family members of her boss.
What a labor of respect and affection!!
Excerpt from an email from Erna...
"My exploding box is 90% finished-what a finicky job.  And so much planning had to go into it to keep 4 themes (4 box sides) going.  I am hoping to start assembling the box this weekend.  I think I have overdone it a bit and I am hoping it will close!"

Look at all the 'Goodies' packed into this little box!!
Opened Box!
Erna has taken the "Exploding Box" into a new level!
From Erna...
"It took the best part of 4 months but I completed the box in time and handed it over yesterday.  My boss was very touched, especially because he had not seen or could not remember some of the photos."   September 2012
The Box included...
12 Single pages
A mini fold-out album with 8 pages
A booklet with 6 pages
2 Large tags
6 medium and 5 small tags
A matchbook with 2 pages
6 certificates
A holder with 6 photos sewn into ribbon
A 3-tier jacob's ladder made of wood and ribbon
Holder with photos!
From Erna...
"And just as I think I can put my feet up, a colleague has asked me to decorate a box for her gran's 100th birthday (before Wednesday!)-oh well, here we go again."
 From Erna...
"Thanks to you and your post (I think it was April), I have managed to put together a project which will hopefully be enjoyed for many years to come!"
Original Post on my blog...
I am always so blessed to have 'students' that excel with a project and create a work of art!
Erna has done this and so much more!
Well done, my friend!
