My Life Scripture

Philippians 4:4-7 (ESV English Standard Version) Holy Bible
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. Let the reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds through Christ Jesus.

DCWV Mini Album Class...Part 1

Twice a year I teach an 8-week papercrafting class entitled
"Creative Expression with Paper" at a local adult education program sponsored by the
Nacoochee United Methodist Church in Saute Nacoochee, Georgia.
Today's class was "Altered Albums".
The students used DCWV Adhesive Fabric sheets, a chipboard album from Michaels Craft Store, and all the ribbons, fibers, embellishments they wanted or needed!
I provide everything to complete the Altered Album and all projects during the 8-week course.  The participants are encouraged to develop their own 'tool kit', but all other supplies are provided.  So, my car is loaded almost every week!  However, I have more than usual because of all the items needed for the project.
I arrived early and set up work stations around the room.  This was stamping, embossing, and use of the Xyron machines.
This is one of my lovely students!  Sandy is busy cutting labels and frames for her
Altered Album.
These are the basic tools that I supply for the class.  Some of the items are not on the table because they are already in use!  I provide paper trimmers, scissors, glue (all kinds), double sided tape, glue dots, dimensional dots, rulers, and a clock!
Sometimes the time passes quicker than we thought and it is time to clean up!
For this project, we needed lots of embellishments...fibers, ribbons, flowers, rosettes, buttons, and more!
Another view of the table showing paper punches!
This is a view of the afternoon class.  There was an early morning class, too.
Participants were encouraged to come early and stay all day!
Another view of the class busy working!
Jan is busy creating an Altered Album using the DCWV blue Adhesive Fiber sheets!
A view of Jan's work station.  Please note the basket in the bottom right corner.  This basket is made from pine needles!  That is one of the 8-week classes taught during this program at NUMC!
Busy, busy, busy!
This will be the front cover of Jan's Altered Album!
Donna loves papercrafting...and all things creative!
Creative mind at work!
Maryanna shows one of her pages!
Busy creating another page!
Janice loves to stand to create!
Some serious decisions going on here!
Denise is carefully measuring and cutting her DCWV Adhesive Fabric sheets!
Alana is having way too much fun during this class today! ;0)
If everyone does their homework this week, I will have pictures of the completed albums next week!  Work On, my papercrafting friends!
Thank you for visiting my blog today!
