My Life Scripture

Philippians 4:4-7 (ESV English Standard Version) Holy Bible
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. Let the reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds through Christ Jesus.

Beauty from Inside Prison Walls!

I have been entrusted to find homes for these
handmade scarves and blankets!
Made by the
Activity Therapy Crochet Group
Lee Arrendale State Prison
Alto, Georgia
All of the following items are handmade by inmates.
What a blessing these warm scarves and blankets will be to those in need!
These crocheted scarves are just the right size for children!
There are three sets of cap and scarf!
These scarves are longer and suited for adults or teenagers.
More blankets!
The last two blankets!
I carried a load of papercrafting supplies to the prison yesterday from one of  my crafty friends and a couple of local businesses.  The director of the mental therapy program was waiting outside to put these handmade beauties into my car to distribute as needed.

Well, once again, your love and generosity has turned into something bigger. What a gift that these women, who I am sure feel powerless in their world, can give to others and become a blessing to someone else. They may be the answer to someone's prayer. I know you are.

What a fabulous example of paying it forward. Your generosity, Carolyn, with your time and your talent are surely being paid back twofold. I have no doubt your will find appropriate places to donate these items where they will be of most use!

These are beautiful! What a great project for the ladies. I have a project they might be interested in. My knitting group knits sweaters for children who are cold both overseas and stateside. It is a simple pattern where you knit the front and back just alike and sew them together for a completed sweater. If you or they are interested in the pattern and address I will gladly send it to you--these are the sweaters that we sent to Afghanistan.

These scarves/hats are very beautiful. Great way to give back to others.
