My Life Scripture

Philippians 4:4-7 (ESV English Standard Version) Holy Bible
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. Let the reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds through Christ Jesus.

Stick Pins, Hat Pins, and Paper Napkin Technique!

I haven't posted in several months, but I have been busy!!  This is my latest project...making stick pins for handmade cards!  My sister wanted to wear hers, so I have made hat pins to wear, too!

Update...I use Glossy Accents instead of Scotch Quick Dry!

Here is my latest card using a stick pin...
This card features another technique with which I have been working, the paper napkin project!

Paper Napkin Technique
I find beautiful paper napkins and peel away all the layers until I have the very top, soft, colorful layer.  Using a hot, dry iron and freezer paper, I cut to the size I want to use, iron the shiny side of the freezer paper to the back side of the napkin layer, and like magic...I have a firm piece of beautiful paper to use on projects!

This box has been sent to my paper crafting South African friend, Erna!  I sent her several napkins, sheets of freezer paper, handmade card, and one napkin that has been completed.  I hope she has as much fun using this technique as I have!

Have a wonderful day and thank you for visiting my blog!

The Pop-up Cards and handmade Boxes have been packaged for sale.  Everything I used on these cards was from my stash!  There is such a variety of brands used that I created a check list to be included with each card/box.

I love to use rosettes with Pop-up Cards.  They give depth and add a great place to put sentiments and small images!  I use the Tim Holtz rosette dies and the Cuttlebug!

I hope you have enjoyed looking at the Pop-Up Cards!  Maybe you will find a little bit of inspiration as you create Valentine Day goodies for the ones you love!

Stashing thru the Snow! First challenge!

I have been challenged to use my stash of paper, embellishments, stamps, and everything else that is carefully stored and labeled in my craft room!  I need this challenge!

First challenge is to use anything that I have stashed away and needs to be used!
I have a large stash of 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inch  handmade cards
I have created a notebook box using the following directions...
I am creating and decorating notecard boxes and adding 4 cards/envelopes in each box.
The notecard box in this photo is decorated with an extra cut from
Cricut Cartridge "Paper Trimmings"
I plan to use the stash of cards and Cricut images to make as many Notecard Boxes as possible.
The local art store is selling these Notecard Boxes with Cards!
